Need to know the stock exhuast pipe size on a 2001 Ram 1500 5.2l. I want to swap in a hooker aerochamber muffler.

mine was stock 3 in the entire way. 2001 5.2L with a reg cab and long bed. It knuckled to 2.5" at the muffler and cat.

squirrels is correct.

3" to the cat, 2.5" from the cat to the muffler, 2.5" out of the muffler until right before the bend to exit out the rear side, then it expands to 3" again.

Evidently, the 5.2 and 5.9 exhaust systems were the same setup.
