new distributor

hey guys i need some help. Truck had 90,000 mi last tune up. the placebought i bought it from just did plugs only AT 155,000 MI WHEN IBOUGHT IT. 3YRS.LATER AT 166,000 I WAS STARTING A COMPLETE TUNE UP.WELL THE BOLTS ON THE DIST. CAP SNAPPED, IN THE DISTRIBUTOR. I put in new distibutor .Well the rotor went back in the the same spot butthe dist housing i got only close to the orginal spot. now i started to get on the highway and it lost power started pinging and stalled. I started it back up again andit this did it again but this time it lost oil pressure. Started it up again it sputter home . Is the fuel timing off because of dist. housing location. HELP!!!![&o] I thougt i would time it the old way OOPS!!

thank s aimfor squirrels, i m dropping off my truck at the local garage tomorrow and i printed that info and will give to the mechanic.I need my ram this weekend to haul firewood and w/ this info that might just happen.SIDE NOTE= MY COUSIN AND BROTHER(superduty owners) can t beleive how muchwood my 1500 can carry !!

no problem,

my guess is that the sync is not correct , and when you installed the new distributor, the oil pump shaft didn't seat correctly. might need to pull oil pan and pump to reseat after distributor is synced up.
