It's not the year of the truck that matters, it's the year of the last flash the dealership did. If you took your truck to the dealer post 2001, and they flashed the PCM, then you probably have the death flash.

I looked the flash up that is listed on my PCM at this website:http://www.aa1car.com/library/2004/c...ailability.pdf and then looked up the TSB's that were included in this flash at this website: http://dodgeram.info/tsb/2001-index.htm#18. Unless I am misunderstanding something, my 2001 truck has been flashed, but it does not have the death flash according to the information I see. Am I understanding this correctly?
My flash number is 56040273AG.

I may be wrong about this, but my understanding is that if you look at the dates on the TSB for the years affected by the TSB you will notice that everything is 2000 or earlier( the built before date), meaning that they needed to have that particular TSB applied. The 2001's were built after the TSB was issued, which means they would have had timing pulled from the factory initially, and as such no TSB was necessary. You're still Death Flashed, but it just came that way from the factory, it wasn't a "service" needed to be performed on your truck after it was out on hte road for a few years.
