programmer and crank
i have 2000 ram, so that means it has the death flash.so dodge reduced the timing by 4 i think. but anyways say i do the crank sensor mod to put it back to stock. then after can i use superchips programmer for performance? or is that too much timing
but what if i do the crank sensor and prgrammer, becasue the programmer prob only lets you do so much timing.
deathflash -4 sencor mod +4 = stock. then programmer puts me +4
stock motor 0 then programmer = +4
deathflash -4 sencor mod +4 = stock. then programmer puts me +4
stock motor 0 then programmer = +4
the superchip[s programmer is a new flash, not an addition to a bad flash. it will overwrite the pulled timing and add whatever they've done, which is why people who were death flashed think their truck is so amazing after getting a programmer.
Sorry, tried posting yesterday and it wouldn't let me.
You can do the crank mod and a programmer at the same time. I'm not sure if it helps or hurts any, butI never re-adjusted my sensor back to the stock positionafter I bought my programmer.Itdoesn't ping any with the 87 setting on my HPP3 and 89 octane gas (5% ethanol mix). Hope this helps.

I would imagine the newest tuner would be the best, the old superchips was a decent tuner. If you can afford the superchips, you can afford the B&G flash and it is (or should be) a superior tune.
