Default ABS & Brake light

dodge ram 1500. wouldn't start. found 20 amp start sol fuse under hood was blown. replaced this and fixed the starting issue, but now the ABS & Brake light warning lights on the dash come on after hitting 40 mph. replaced the RWAL speed sensor on the rear differential, but that didn't fix the warning lights problem. what should i try next?

also, the tailights & the brake light above the back window stay on even after turning the vehicle off & removing the key, so i have to disconnect the battery when not driving to save it from draining.

Replace the brake lite switch, so the lites won't stay on. You'll to ck the ABS module for for stored codes. Could be a relay code which is inside the module.

Thanks Master Tech! The brake light switch was the problem. Apparently, while I was under the steering column troubleshooting my original problem of the truck not starting, I knocked loose the brake light switch from it's mounted position, and so now it was hanging loose in the "On" position.

Thanks for pointing me in this direction! It made diagnosing & fixing the problem really easy and fast.
