Default Which Transmission?

I have a 99 Ram Sport with a 5.2 and the NV 3500 five speed transmission. About a year ago, the syncronizers for third gear were keeping me from being able to shift. I took it to a transmission guy, and he said it was so broken inside he couldn't open it. He found a used tranny and installed it, but that one kept forcefully popping out of first gear. So I took it back, and he put in another one, but now second, third and sometimes forth are a bit of a problem. I did some research, and found that the NV 4500 five speed was better and stronger, and that it came in standard duty and heavy duty versions. I am very hard on my truck, and pull stuff on occasion I have no buisiness pulling. I also plan on rebuilding it with a hotter cam and various other power-granting goodies. Should I keep the 3500, or when this one turns belly up, get a 4500, or the 4500 Heavy duty? Thanks!

Start double clutching when you're hauling the heavy stuff. That should help save your synchros

The 4500 standard duty would be my choice, unless the price difference to upgrade to the heavy duty was insignificant.
