Hello all, Just had a couple quick questions. My rear end on my 01 ram 1500 completely went out on me yesterday. The rear end is geared to 4:10. I havent had much luck finding one at a junkyard and the best price ive found was 1200. What do you guys think would be a decent price on a chrysler 9.25 w/ 4:10's. Second, Ive heard the rear ends used to be the dana 44 or 60 not sure?? Will a 44 or 60 work for my truck without much modification. I did a search and it returned nothing so any help would be appreciated. And replacing the entire axle assembly is my only option because the housing was damaged beyond repair. Also any other axle possibilities will be helpful. Thanks guys!!
I'd probably buy a 9.25 and have 410s put in it if thats the cheaper way. 4:10s are normally foundonly i off road package rams which makes them a bit rarer.A dana 60 swap means extra work due to widerer springs and adifferent wheel lug pattern plus more lugs.
summit racing sells the 4:10 gears at a good price i just bought 4:10s for my rear 9.25 and my front dana 44 and had to purchase a new carrier for the gears and spent $505 price's aren't that bad
