I had probably 60k or so on my truck and not sure if it had ever had a tune up when I did the first one. Then I did another one at 99k or so.

I did wait a long time on our 96 Honda and it did seem to help some when I did a tune up.

i just did mine and i used borg warner cap and rotor. MSD streetfire wires they were 8mm and only $40 @ checker. i have 128,000 on mine bought w/ 125000. and i dont know how my truck ran! the cap and rotor were completely burnt! she runs MUCH better now. 95 jammin ram i would suggest changing the coil also if you dont know when the last time it was changed. plus with the milage you have.

Its not. The stock/OEM units are aluminum terminals. Brass resists corrosion much better than aluminum.

There is a reason back during the days of ancient Rome and the Roman Empire that the Greek phalanx units used brass ends on the back of their long spears. They could plant it in the ground to hold their enemy at bay with the other end, and it wouldn't rust like iron.

Oh okay. I just knew one of the guys on here said he had the best luck with the stock ones lasting the longest but none lasted long with his MSD setup. I think it was steve something that has a 3rd gen now.

I would think corrosion should be a non-issue if you use dielectric grease.

and steve05ram360 was referring to the mopar performance cap and rotor that lasted longer with his MSD Offroad 6a box, not the generic mopar cap.
