I had no idea this would be such a tough questions to answer...even the Dodge.com corporate web site and email contact didn't help. So here it goes, and I hope someone here can help me.
I have a 1996 Ram 3500 dually, 3.55 rear end with V10 and automatic trans. What are my tow ratings for this vehicle?
I'm thinking about pulling a smaller 5er or travel trailer with this truck, but I'm having some difficulty with getting the ratings associated with towing. Please help Dodge Forum!!
Thanks in advance for your help.

My 2500 V10 4x4 qc is 13500 lbs, so if you ram is a 2x4 your rating would well above that. I tow a 31' 12000 lbs 5th wheel which I would consider quite large. Also keep in mind a lot of states and provinces require special licenses to tow anything over 10 000 lbs. I would try and stay under the 10 000 lbs mark but I think your ram is at least
13500 lbs. I found my tow rating in my manual so have a look for a manual for a 96.

Thanks 5-O, that's good info. I bought the truck used a number of years ago, and didn't get the owners manual. The truck was repainted since, and it appears that the door jam sticker with the info was removed. My truck is a 2x4, and it's a club cab. I've seen a range of results previously, ranging from 10K to 13,800, which is a wide range when you're looking at trailers between 28 and 33 foot long.
So if there are any 1996 3500 owners out there with a manual, please help me to clear this up. Thanks again for your help.

Here are the specs for an 01, probably won't be exactly the same as a 96, but shouldn't be too far off.

Thanks for the input. Slowly but surely I'll be able to narrow this down. Trailer Life's archives went to '99, where the max trailer rating is 13,400. Here's the link if anyone is interested:

I've heard everything from 10K to 13,800, and I want to be very careful not to overload. At the same time I'm selfish, I want to get a trailer with some space and creature comforts, so going smaller doesn't fit the bill for me and the family. So thanks again for your help!
Any input is appreciated!

Exactly right word for word.
