go with the pioneer for sure, I ran the pioneer dehp7700 in my first car and absolutely loved it, and had for a period of time a pioneer dehp5800, but am right now in the market for a dvd player, but I would say to avoid buying the infinity speakers, i had an amped set in my car, and I got them replaced and am so glad I did, I guess you already have them though, you should have tried to get a conversion for your front speakers into a 6.5 instead of the 6X9's, a round speaker puts out better audio quality than the oval speakers and doesnt distort as easily because of balance and functionality. I run boston acoustics in my front with diamond audios in my rear, both 6.5's with a rockford fosgate subwoofer all of it amped off of 2 phoenix gold amps, the speakers on the 1000 watt ryval, and the sub off a 400 watt octane r and I love the sound quality, very crisp.

If HD Radio is a factor, don't buy one thats HD Radio Ready. Thats a load of BS.. I got my Kenwood thinkin it had HD Radio, but instead, you had to buy a $150 dollar seperate tuner.. So make sure the HD Radio is already there. <y sisters JVC with integrated HD Radio was around $229 when she got it, but around Christmas, they had the same one at Car Toys for $150. So, I would also suggest shopping around.

I ain't going to be shopping around with my discount at BB! Its really nice with car audio.

Went with that Pioneer unit. Talked to one of the car audio guys I trust, and he said the Alpine would be better if I was going all out with a separate amp, sub(s), etc. but if I wasn't (and I'm not), he said the Pioneer would be better. I love it. Will post pictures shortly.

Oh, and a question... I know the fronts are pretty easy with an adapter, but how hard is it to convert the rears to 6.5"?
