the big hose from the intake to the brake booster is a vacuum line. you can dump it in there. don't expect much....

It's a combustion chamber style cleaner. They do work but are no replacement for a physical tune-up.

Ha, I have already done most of that fun stuff, I am just looking to try and restore some power to my old engine with 160,000 k.
It is supposed to work to clean the engine internally and I am hoping it will do a effective job of cleaning the valves, since it delivers a more concentrated burst of cleaning fluid. I have used some fuel system additives, but have never noticed any improvment of any kind from using products like that.

Does changing the plug wires and cap accually affect anything? I though that was only applicable on the older style vehicles where the plug wires weren't build with as much technology and lost conductivity over time. Neway as anyone notice a improvement?

What about adding a engine oil additive like Slick 50 to try and reduce friction or drag withing the engine. Has anyone noticed any improvements while using a friction modifyer?

Thanks for your input.

cap and rotor and plugs degrade/erode, etc over time, and replacing them every 2-3-4 years will keep your spark hot and clean. plug wires do degrade over time, more from heat and age than anything else. i replace them about every 5-7 years or so. if you still have the stock wires i'd replace them one of these days.

I am thinking about switching my truck over to castrol syntec oil, would it be worth it to add a can of the engine restore to that....or would it be a waste of premium synthetic oil?
Has anyone noticed a difference between running premium synthetic (ie. castrol, mobile 1)
or cheaper sythetic oil like the Motomaster synthetic...which sells for about half the price.
