Default front seat swap

HELP... I have a 1996 Ram 2500 4x4 cummings club cab and want to swap out the front seats. The new seats are coming from a 1998 club cab but i just noticed that the seatbelts for the 1998 retract into the seat. The 1996 retract into the door pillar.

Will the seats swap out without a problem or will it be an issue. I have to travel 100 miles for the seats and want to make sure they will swap in and out without an issue before I go get them.

Thanks,
Ed

They will not swap properly. As you noted, the 98 and above seats had the retractable integrated seat belts. You will have to find 97 or below seats to match your door pillar seat belts.

What does the seat belt location have to do with the seats bolting up properly or not? His question was about the seats, not the seat belts. Don't compare apples and bowling *****, K?

i am not overly concerned about the sealtbelt location, just as long as they function.. my main concern is the bolt pattern on the floor.

Thanks,
Ed
