Default RPM's fluctuate while idleing

Hey everybody. Have had a 2000 Dodge 2500 4x4 for the last five years and have been very happy with it. Very little problems. I am experiencing an issue currently where the RPM's are fluctuating between 1200 and 2000 while idling. It does it in park, nuetral, drive. No problems while moving, just when sitting at idle. I used the ignition on/off/on/off/on and it shows p donE whatever that means. Any ideas on what could be the issue? Thanks in advance.

Yeah, little things like that can drive you crazy. I thought my tranny was slipping, and it was my TPS.
