what you should do is use undercoating inside the door, making sure not to block or clog up the existing holes. this will help prevent it from doing it all over again.
mine is rotting too. I have been using WD40 to slow it down until I have the time to fix it.

do you have any before and after pics?

One of the previous owners of mine used Line-X on the very bottom door panels, where rust usually shows up. Worked well, very little rust at all.

I have some duplicolor undercoating i will try that probably tommarow if i don't fix drop the tank to fix the gas gauge. I do not have any before an after pix it came out very nice though the only thing is the paint is a little is a little off but not bad so i had to spay the whole bottom half of the door to make it look right i also still have to buff it. Since it was at the bottom half of the door the paint difference was not bad at all. Hell of alot better then rust

Not the whole sides, just the door panels, just on the very bottom. You wouldn't notice it unless you got on your knees and looked for it. The stainless steel rockers really attract your attention away from it.

But yeah, the bed is Line-X too. Very nice to have. Much better than the drop-ins I tried before on my old Dakota.
