Default 99 5.2 hesitation

I have a 99 1500 2wd. Over the weekend it just started to have a hesitation but it is only with in the firts 1/2 inch of throttle pedel travel. It also surges alittle at start up. It will hesitate in that pedel rang no matter what sitting at a light ,in park or driving. It flags no codes and whatching it under streaming data i can not see an issue. Can any one give me some insite with this. It's drivable but i want it fixed I hate driving when i know there is a problem.

i'd guess a vacuum leak. plug all the ports at the manifold and see if the problem goes away. if so then add them back one at a time to find the culprit

On the late 1990s Rams there have been many posts where the TPS sensor develops a 'bad spot' in range of motion

Make sure it is not a automatic transmission problems where 1st gear never fully engaged after coasting to a stop from traveling in 3rd gear or 4th. Worn seals or a clogged trans filter can do that.
