I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 qcab with a 5.2. When i drive the truck and accelerate slowly to the speed i want, it shifts fine. If i accelerate with some speed it doesnt shift gears, seems like there is a delay and the engine just revs up. I just got a check engine light and the code i got is P1740 "Manufacture Control Transmission"

I have not a clue as to what the code means nor what the problem could be. Any help would be great.

 

Well I am not sure what your code means however, my truck also shifts funny, and mine actually is slipping more. Start saving your money up, its almost time tor replace the trans. Do a search on transmissions, there is lots of info here. I am saving up for a Dr Evil trans myself.
