Nah, you're to new around here to kick. You have to show a pattern of repeated, ridiculous behavior to draw my ire. And besides, I like a good story.

lesson learned, take ur time and don't rush something before you head to work. i pulled the pump today and saw it already had a bran new screen on it. ugh, well once again it only took 20 minutes so aside from getting covered in fuel again it wasn't that big of a deal.

As for the reason why my truck bed already had a hole in it, it happened about a year and a half ago. The fuel filler neck rusted out and I didn't have the $200+ for a new one, so cut what was left on the filler neck, cut a hole in the bed of the truck, got some hinges, hose clamps, and walla! I was able to fill my tank through the bed of the truck for the next year.

that's actually innovative, albeit potentially dangerous as hell.

Rather than start a new thread I figured I'd post here.

It went from being below zero to above zero the past few days. My truck has been sitting on empty for a while. I started it, ran rough, put $20 in gas in, drove fine one night, went to start yesterday, and nothing. I think there's water in the fuel.

Its getting fuel ( I can hear the pump go, and smell raw gas at the tailpipe)

and spark ( I checked).

I bought some methyl hydrate and threw it in the tank to dry it out. I pulled the plugs and dried them all off (they were soaked) Tried again and still nothing.

Whats the best way to dry it out? Should I just let it sit for a couple days?
