Default rear rollpan problem

Last november i bent my rear bumper pretty bad and wanted to go w/ a rollpan.I purchased 1 off of ebay that was listed for a 94-01 ram.I got it painted this week and had the body shop install it and come to find out it was for a 94-99 ram.Can anyone tell me what is the difference between a 94-99 and a 00-01 ram when it comes to the beds? The rollpan was about 1/2 inch to small side to side .Iwas thinking about putting 1/4 inch rubber pads contoured to the body lines so it isnt that noticable but was curious about the fit. Also could it be just the way they made it since it is a reproduction? The rollpan is made of steel and not fiberglass from a company called sir michaels.
thanks

I dont no the differents in the 2 different years, but i was just going to say if you have access to a welder i would cut the rollpan and put the extra metal in it instead of using rubber pads. But good luck with the fix, let me know what the differents is to if you can im about to buy one for my 98

Sorry racer my truck is black.
Well we got it to fit ,took some modifying and some hammering and a 2x4 but it fits good now.I emailed sir michaels and told them how unhappy i was about the fit.But its on and looks pretty good. Now the next thing is rhino lining the bed. Then a airade intake and a few other mods then thats it.If you decide to get 1 test fit it 1st , my thinking it was gonna fit right in and thats it.WRONG!!!!!.Since this truck is a everyday driver we couldnt tie up any time so we dropped off the tailgate for a dent and then the rollpan cause i bent the bumper.
thanks
