Had a 97 Ford before I got my 98 DodgeRam4x4...Love it....anyways
When I open the door on the ford the bed light would come on with the Dome lites
When I open the doors on the Ram the Bed light doesn't come on....is that normal?
It works when I turn the headlight swithch on

Yes, the Rams don't have the bed lights come on with the door open. Its normal.

I wondered this myself when I first bought my truck, but yep, its normal.

 

The bed light on the Ford only did that because it was broken...
