If money isnt an issue, I would start with the basics, exhaust, an open element air cleaner, a tranny cooler and shift kit, and a good tune up. Then I would do a cam, a double roller timing set, and a fastman TB. That should get you well over 300 HP depending on the cam you get.

Personally I would contact Comp Cams or another company of your choice. Give them your vehicle specs, and your needs and they can recommend a catalog cam or custom grind one for you.

Everything except the cam may increase the fuel mileage slightly, but not much. The cam will decrease it anywhere from 2-5 mpg (depending on how big of cam you get.) Power and fuel mileage are not two things that generally come together, you have to pick one.

Few things left out .. bore .30 over , stroker kit , dont forget heads , valves , roller rockers .. then with a cam you gotta be careful that it does not throw the PCM into a fit...

Ram air. Sure, especially if you have the fog light holes but not fog lights in them. That would be one step up from the open element air cleaner that Jr. Mechanic described.

I estimate my truck to be about 300-310 horse and 340-370 tq. Before the cam I averaged 10.1mpg, after the cam I averaged 10.15 mpg. So that should answer the mileage question.
