RPM's drop when ac is on
Try cleaning the IAC and TPS and TB as described in the DIY section. If that doesn't doesn't work try a new IAC first. But don't just keep throwing money at it until you know the battery and alternator are both good.
NEW UPDATE. just took the battery and alternater to autozone to have bench tested. alternater is good. battery said to recharge then test so i left it there to charge and test it. they said the battery was from 05 and ive only had the truck for a year its a Die Hard 600 gold series. do you guys think it could be the battery cuasing all this?
If you have been using the truck , the battery should already be charged. So I would say either it is bad or the connections on the alt. or battery may have been corroded. And yes! If the battery is not getting fully charged the truck/motor can do strange things .Also check the ground wires to chassis and motor.
battery is bad. just got back from autozone. they want $85 for a new battery! so i have to wait until friday(pay day). so hopefully that was the problem. since ive cleaned the the IAC and TPS do you guys know of what else to check in the meantime? i hate just lookin at it in her cage and tinkering with it. im also going to replace the battery cables as well just in case. i DO appreciate the help from all of you!
last update. truck runs great now. new battery and cables $105 later and runs good. old bat cables were corroded when i cut them open. now she fires right up no stumbling, dying, and i dont think i ever reset the pcm after the intake and exhaust. so she runs real good now put 130 mi on it and no problems. thank you so much guys for your help and input.
