Will a 95 van rearend go into a 99 1500? How important is the rearend ratio?

maybe. i don't know. there's a real good chance they are identical. check width, spring perch locations, drive shaft yoke, brake setup/size. gear ratio in your truck is probably 3.55 or maybe 3.7x or 3.9x or 4.10. the most common stock ratio is 3.55. a higher number like 4.10 will pull/haul/tow better. you don't want any number less than 3.55 or your power will really suck.
