the "local dodge house" here wants 400 just for the oe dash and i think they want aroud 700 for labor. i'd rather spend 100 on ebay for a cover and remove the problem. then i'm just covering up a hole.

Just buy the part and install yourself. Its really easy to install. Try and find someone who orders regularly from the dealers and see if you can get a discount through them.

ok good idea thats probably gonna be one of the lastthings i do to my truck this summer i got to fix so more major problems lol "plenum gasket"

I don't know about "really easy" maybe "not extremely difficult". it is time consuming though if you've never done it before and don't have an extra set of hands available.
