Exactly. I want a refund. I also am having my newer one crack around one bolt hole. I put superglue on it and you can't really see it. I noticed it's also cracked one other place behind the black bezel where it snaps in. Piece of crap dashes. I already replaced this thing once almost 2 years ago. That's not that old.

I hope mine doesnt start doing that any time soon. I'm babying mine atm, with the windshield cover. I figure that might help a little bit. I also didn't put too much torque on most of the bolts. But itd be nice to get around $200 back and maybe even throw in that warranty..

I wonder if an adhesive sound deadener sheet
applied to the underside of the dash,
like the DynaMat or cheaper BrownBread
would strengthen the dash enough to prevent some cracks?

thats a really interesting idea I would think the adhesive would even hold the dash together if it did crack instead of having pieces falling through.

Default Just tried it

I just tried it and was told rather rudely that as my warranty had expired that tough luck. I then responded that I guess this is one of the reasons why Dodge stock is in the tank and that they will all be unemployed very shortly.

i actually just spend about 3 hours today removing my dash top. I ended up jsut loosening the bolts (2 on each side, then the 2 steering wheel bolts) to tip the dash forward and got the screws that face upwards with a stubby screwdriver. From here I am going to repair my multiple cracks, then fiberglass the entire cover. Im thinking of adding a 3 gauge pod for 2" gauges (trans temp, and then 2 others... probably digital voltage and something else). I'll make sure to post up a topic and keep it updated as I go. Hopefully with the fiberglass on top, it should eliminate future cracking.
