Default Clear coat trouble

I have a Ram that has the clear coat peeling off of it on one side. I am wanting this to be fixed and am considering having it repainted. Would it be a good idea to have the rest of the truck repainted even thought the paint looks good? I figure the original paint job is faulty. What do you think?

Well, it is not a faulty paint job. It is 12 years old Probably several owners as well?

Moving over to 2nd Gen. My recommendation would be to repaint, not just reclear.
