ok so I've decided its time for a new upgrade. Which should I go for first? 52mm fastman or magnaflow cat?

or should I save up for a perf transmission? any ideas what to look for here? I found one set up real nice designed to perform for $950 a rebuilt 46RE.

Also, I am going to put mud flaps on the truck but what else can I do to prevent rock chips?

hey thanks! How do you go about gutting a cat anyway? I was thinking about doing it but doesn't that lead to loss in low end? and give you that annoying drone? would have to be a fake O2 sensor there as well? i just thought the magnaflow would be easier I can go pick one up for $65 from a friend.

It can cause a drone. Some people don't mind it, some people hate it.

I don't ever recommend gutting a cat. For one, its illegal. If a shop was caught removing or gutting a cat, a $10,000 fine is involved per instance, I believe. And thats on the Federal level, some states have their own separate laws and fines regarding converters as well.

I would get the Magnaflow if you have the cash. Almost as good as gutting it and you're keeping your truck legal.

eh yeah but I looked over my options and I decided to keep it. Diesel is nice to have but its just not in the budget now. So i figured I'll just upgrade the hell out of this one and keep it. I enjoy it i get compliments i love driving it so whatever i'll keep it.\

sorry for the confusion

I wouldnt trust a "performance" transmission for 950. There is just no money in that for good parts. If the company is putting in the good parts then they are not making ANY money, and we know they arent going to do that.

lol you must really like those taillights!

I believe these are the right ones they make a smoke set and they make a clear set these say smoke so they must be right. You can also do a search for dodge ram altezza taillights.

Now back to the tranny, where should I go to find a good quality tranny?
