I was strolling through ebay and ran across this. It looks like the guy did a very nice job, but... arn't the runners supposed to be cut down like a half inch instead of 2 inches or something like that.

A half an inch wouldn't do much of anything. That being said, 2" might be too much for a 5.2L engine but probably great for the 5.9L especially with the matching 52mm TB bore.

That's a reasonable price if you're too lazy or don't have the tools to DIY.

 

Yea, idk for some reason i thought 1/2" was the right amount. I'll dig up that keg mod thread when the time comes. Your right, 125 doesnt sound too bad, but im gonna tackle it myself when the time comes. After I looked at it again, it looks like he painted the inside of the keg too.... idk if I like that idea. Knowing my luck that thing would get hot enough eventually that the paint would start peeling off and get sucked into my engine.

 

Since the 5.7 Hemi got more 'low end' torque from its 21 inch long runners
it might be a better eBay business
to offer to weld on
5 inch extensions to the
15 inch Magnum 'beer barrel' runners

5.2/5.9 Magnum V8 owners
who tow trailers could 'feel' this mod
on hill climbing

 

Just because the Hemi has longer runners doesn't that mean that longer runners on the 5.2/5.9 would yield the same results. And where pray tell might you put 5 more inches of runner in the stock intake?
