Default V-10 Exhaust

I have a 98 2500 QC with the V-10, gets 14 MPG, not as bad as I thought when I bought it. My question is since one of the cats is rattling and I will have to replace it,might as well do both, which muffler will get me the best sound? Has anyone any ideas?

I replaced my cats with high flow magnaflow with good results. The best sound however is the stock muffler, unless you like the sound of a souped up 4 banger then any after market exhust will due. You need a v8 for a good quality sound as the v10s fires two cylinders at a time. The Viper V10s are quite different from the v10s like ours so you can't even get the cool viper sound. I've heard that Gibsons help the v10s sound the best but I've not heard it first hand. Your are probably stuck with driving a quiet tough truck.

You are not the first person to tell me that, I love the power and the smoothness it has. but it doesnt sound any better than my wifes Saturn. I guess for sound i am going to have to live with my 80 Cherokee with the AMC 360 and cherry bombs. My neighbor hates it when i crank it up on weekends but at 8 MPG thats about all I can do with it.
