It happen.
Not the trans , not the motor , not the gears ... I sold the truck today and bought a chevy ext cab 4x4 , 1999 for a cheap price , made a profit off the ram ... every 1 take care , ill be checking back once in awhile...
Congrats. Post some pictures up of the new truck. After my issues I've been having one after another I'm thinking about doing the same thing. I have my eye on a 08 Suburban as I really like them but at the same time I just don't need one especially with gas prices. I can put a whole lot of money into my truck before I can buy a new Suburban.
get the hell out of dodge!!.. back stabber!! you're not welcome round these parts anymore... but when you bow tie dies.. we'll be here with open arms! hahah take care and good luck!
I'm not Chevy fan by any means but I just really like the new Suburbans. I love how they look and think they would do everything I need it to as well as my truck or better.
I also like the Honda Ridgeline sort of and like Honda reliability much much more than Chevy or Dodge but at the same time I'm not sure that I'd be happy with a Honda Ridgeline. I love their cars just not sure that I'd be happy with a mix of a truck and car.
I more so just want a brand new truck/suv with a warranty so that if it does break I don't have to worry about it. My truck is getting old and I've had it for quite a while. I just am thinking since it's giving me soo much trouble maybe it's time for something new.
My Dodge hasn't had that rough of a life so I don't understand why it keeps breaking. I've had others tell me the Dodges they have had have been lemons then I come online and see most that own them have all these same expensive problems I do. Some exceptions where people don't but it seems most do. I'm really starting to wonder if Dodge can make anything right? It sucks too because I was a big Dodge fan. I love my truck I really do but I'm getting tired of it breaking everytime I touch it.

I had a '96 1500 4x4 that I bought in 2001. I bought it hit in the front/underneath from the scrap yard anyways, but still I don't think it should've broken as much as it did.
3 engines, transmission twice, wheel bearings, couple front axles, a transfer case, etc.
I swear I had it inside fixing something on it 9 months out of the year.
I remember I bought it with 88,345 miles in 2001. I sold it in 2006 (I believe) & it had just over 91,000 on it.
I swore I was done w/4WD 94-01 Rams...but, then I bought my '95 a couple weeks ago (although this is in much better shape).
I know where you're coming from.

I think that's a smart and justifiable move. Sometimes we get so wrapped up in our sentimental value towards our vehicles that we eliminate the idea that it may not be what we need. In your instance, I think getting the back seated truck was a wise move, and it was very unselfish of you.
