im looking to rebuild my transmission and was wanting to get a new converter to help out towing my 24' enclosed trailer. the truck is a 99 sport 2wd with a 5.9 and 46re transmission. wondering if anyone out there had any suggestions or prior experiance with any converters for towing.

 

padodgeram, (who just sold his truck, BTW) put in a lower stall TC for his ram for towing. You might want to PM him before he turns his back on us with his new chevy.

 

I has my local transmission shop custom build me a torque convertor with the linings from a diesel torque converter. I have a 5.9 gas.

 

don't you think that trailer's a little to big for that truck? what about a 12-1500 stall?

how often do you go through brakes? lol

 

nah truck pulls the trailer great. havent changed the brakes on the truck since ive got the trailer over a yeah ago. the trailer has got brakes on both axles so it dont put alot of strain on the truck.
