computer, vaccum lines... trannsmision unless you have the NV4500 stick shift... because the autos in that year dodge sucked enough with that low amount of power. there is probably alot more.

interesting sounding project though, just don't get a hemi with the MDS

I googled it and found your post on Truckin magazine forums lol. Basically, youll need what TXCharger said.

Other than that my only other concern would be maybe the gauges. Im sure the Hemi would put out a lot more hp than that 5.2.

You can probably find a motor/tranny/computer on ebay for your swap.

Good luck.

I know a guy here in arkansas who has a 5.7 outa an '04 1500. The truck had been rolled in '06 with 11,000 miles on it. He has EVERYTHING.Motor, harness, tranny, and all external engine componets except starter which you can get for about $250. It might be a trip to get it but he only wants $3500 for it so if you want his phone number just p.m. me.

Are the frame and chassis the same on the late model and second gen trucks? Might have some problems mounting the new powerplant in the older truck.

From what I've read, the '04 bolts up to the same holes as my '97.
