I am currently swapping a 5.7 hemi with an xfi 273 cam and other goodies into an 01 ram 1500 where the 5.2l went. I had to cut out the engine mounting brackets and reweld them. Also I converted the wiring harness from a 4wd auto to 2wd man. I have a manual tran starter and computer. The fuel pump pressure requirements are the same. I am to the point where it is wired up but wont start. I need info on an adapter from the CCD bus to the PCI bus. There are many little mods that had to be done, but my nv3500 tranny bolted right up(minus the top bolt) and I have about an inch of clearance to the firewall. However, the tranny still sits in the bracket, albiet all the way forward.(no shift tower or interior mods necessary) I would not suggest doing this unless you are not afraid of work. I was pissed when I saw pics of the 2009 RAM....I already had my motor out!

Default computer/wiring troubleshooting

Well, I called xvmotorsports cuz they said they could help me put a hemi in anything in their ad. They can, if you want to shell out a couple grand for the aftermarket stuff. I have an idea about the buswork, gonna try it today. The resister for the ccd bus was in the pcm, so when i changed that...who knows? Are 2 computers better than one? I'll find out.

well, the 2 computer thing didn't get my gages to work. Darn ccd bus... But, I have spark and I have fuel up to the connector under the drivers door. The connector on the fuel rail is a pain, I can't get it off. I am using a tool from advance and I wish I would've spent the extra 6 bucks...there is always tomorrow. Spark is good, an engine that rotates is good as well, but I guess I need fuel(and aftermarket gages)! I have no idea how to post pics, but I'll figure that out after the truck is running. Oh, we also installed a switch for the fans to kick on... fan was a little bent from the donor motor and electric fans give more horses. right? If anyone wants specific pics or questions, I will try to answer them as best I can. Be patient, I'm in the Navy...

yes E-Fans will give more power because you aren't spinning the fan on the motor.

sounds good man!

If I understand the clutch fan correctly, e-fans will give you more HP in in-town situations. Once you get her spun up on the highway, I believe the clutch fan has little to no drag on the engine.
