tune-up time!
just got a 98 ram 4x4,5.9 360,got a good deal on it,so i want to give it a tune-up.So I just want to know what everyone thinks, pick your brains ya know!.What should i put in as far as plugs, wires ,cap and rotor, was gonna go with champion truck plugs, but as far as the rest ,not sure. Thanks for any input........tony! oh yeah its got high miles as well,if that makes any difference(180,000).
I use the truck plug and like them(you will see a lot of opinions on this). As far as the cap goes get brass and buy a quality set of wires, a lot of peeps here go with 8mm but a good quality set of 7's will be fine, and do a search for the TSB regarding the routing of them. Don't forget pcv valve , air cleaner and oil change. Also check your plenum gasket while you change the AF.
yeah i did the oil change and air filter, thought about taylor thundervolt 8.2 wires, and i cheked the plenum when i got it seems good to go. Guess i need to change my sig. i no longer have my 01 silver ram, traded it in along with the wifes 02 town and country for a 05 durango limited 5.7 hemi.I also plan a 3-5 inch lift, new tires and rims and gears>the first thing i did when i got it home was put a flowmaster 40 on it,I had it laying around, cause i swithched it out to super 44 on my old ram
