Default How to tell if I have limited slip?

How would I be able to tell (visually) if I have limited slip? It's a 1999 1500 Laramie, 5.9L 4WD.

No information came with the truck (I don't think I've ever gotten a used vehicle that actually had the manual in it) so I have no clue.

Thanks
Chris

check for a sticker inside the glove box.
or
jack up the back of the truck and support the axle on stands, spin a tire, if the other tire moves the same direction, you have an LSD

try looking for a paper tag on the drivers side rear axle tube. look for 3.55 OPEN, which is not limited slip.

another way - remove the diff cover and look for the broken clips in the bottom.. haha, sorry, i couldn't resist.

stand by, looking for a pic.
edit. damn squirrel beat me to the post.
this is OPEN. note the open carrier with spider gears at the top and bottom of the pinion shaft

Don't you mean it has an open diff if the other tire moves the "opposite way"?

If it were a LSD both tires would move the same direction when you spin it.
