Default Distributor Problem???

Does anyone have any advice on a new distributor as far as which one is the best bang for the buck because i have a misfire and when i put a timing light on it the timing is all over the place. the motor only has about 50k on it so i dont believe the timing chain is an issue. the distributor has about 130k on it due to a warranty motor replacement. Any advice or recomendations will be appreciated.

The distributor doesn't do spark timing, the computer does that with signals from the crank position sensor, located above the bellhousing behind the right cylinder head. Sorry can't offer more advice, just warning that the distributor has nothing to do with timing on these engines.
