If you are sure there are mods in your future, buying a Superchips or a Hypertech is throwing away money, unless you want speedo/tire calibration.
That's what I was going to say. The only downside to the SCT is it wont reprogram for the tires. I think that's something they should add in. That was one of the biggest upsides to getting a programmer for me.

I am VERY pleased with the SCT programmer. Especially if you have plans to make more performance modifications in the future. The guy I bought mine from has been the BEST to work with! His email address is: hemifever@aol.com

All I want is a cheap way to calibrate my speedo and net a few horses. Anyone know where I can find a cheap one?

Wait, will the SCT be able to reprogram for a cam change? Or a head with oversized valves? And reprogram the speedo? Thanks!!

i am wanting to compare all three,(hypertech, superchips.and sct) thats the reason i went ahead and got the superchips this time. sct is in my future, after a couple more performance mods, like headers and exhaust, maybe 1.7 rockers.

i dont think buying the new superchips is throwing away money, for what it did to my truck it was worth it to me, mabe you should try it instead of dissing it. you would be surprised.... if i was doing big motor work i would do sct tuner, but if your looking for helping with bolt ons and just for more power superchips is the way too go

I did have a superchips, it tunes a stock engine.

As stated earlier, if you have any inclination of modding later, a Superchips tuner is money that could go to an SCT tuner or B&G flash and as such is a waste, unless you want to recalibrate your tires. If you add anything that would benefit from a modified A/F ratio table, it will pale in comparison.

The SCT is better. Save you cheese.

OK, if the SCT doesn't calibrate tires, I just want something cheap that does. Where do I look?

Look on EBay for a HyperTech.
