Default License Plate Lights

Noticed that my stock one's are starting to melt the plastic socket's that hold the light bulb's. What can i use to make some new one's or some good replacement's? I was thinking about using some L.E.D's.

Put some white LED's in there. Easy solder job. I converted my dome light today.

or you can get replacements form a dealer but take your old wire with you if you do. They made 2 different plugs so you need to make sure you get the right one

Just to revive this, does anyone know what size/type screw is used to hold the license plate lens assembly in place AND where to get one? I know it is a Torx head (T10). Someone stole my lens and bulb socket while I was at work the other day. Went to dealer and got lens assembly and the socket, but they no longer carry the screws and their computer only tells them to "No longer service this part". Can't even give me specs. Checked local auto parts stores, but no love there!! And.... yes, I upgraded to LED bulbs.

go to any hardware store, pick up an assortment of small ones, should be easy enough to get one that fits.. or junk yard is also a good place to try... but, it cant be hard.. Most smaller older hardware stores, privately owned, not chain like Lowes or Home Depot, will actually help you find the right one.. Drive the truck over, and they will grab some and try them out for you, and help you get what you need...

Ill try the junkyard, but not a whole of Dodge pickups in the junkyards here in MD. There is a pretty good Ace Hardware down the road a piece that I can try. Thanks.

Just throw some bolts on it thats what i did. The screws that were holding them in wouldn't hold in the old holes so i made the holes a little bigger and bolted them bitches

My license plate light sockets have rotted and the lights fell off.
I ran them through the hole and am holding them in place with the lens for now so there's light on my plate.
I went to a junkyard today and checked every single Ram and they were all rotted and hanging down.

Is there a parts store that sells the sockets?
Someone mentioned dealer. How much are they at the stealership?
