cps sensor

Default cps sensor

i need to replace my crankshaft sensor but i just cant seem to find were it goes. I have the book but its not were it says its a 96 ram 1500 5.9. anybody know how/ and is it hard?

It's on the passenger side of the trans, close(r) to the top. Its' right behind where the engine/trans "seam" where they go together. Its' hard to see it which makes it a pain to change. I'll take some pics of the one on my parts truck in a while for you...

Here it is; there's 2 bolts that hold it but in the pic you can only see 1.

how come you can fit a camera up there, when i replaced mine I had a hard enough time wedging my meat hook up there, i cant imagine a camera

Mines' a 2WD... no transfer case or front driveshaft in the way
