Default 99 Ram Overdrive assembly

I had to take my Valve Body out of My Overdrive (46RH)<(I think) Tranny, 5.9 Eng, 1999 1/2 ton Ram.
The reason was because I had to put back in place the Anchor that fits on the Kickdown Band and adjusting screw. That fell off, and was laying in the pan.
Now my problem is the long Parking Rod. I dont think I can fish it back in place. Dosent it have to attach to something, way back in there? Do I need to take the overdrive case off?
I'm going to buy a telescope mirror to try to see back there, but if anyone can help me understand what I need to do to get my Valvebody back in place, I sure would appretiate it.

Thanks, Tom

The long rod engages the Park Pawl.
Try slowly rotating the drive shaft while trying to insert the rod.
Don't remove the overdrive section.

Get the back wheels off the ground and turn the drive shaft while you push the rod in. (like was said above)

Or pull the driveshaft and use a pair of channel locks to turn the output shaft, while you insert the parking rod.

Dont remove the overdrive section or you will be in deep crap.

I am very grateful for your help. I posted a Question that I thought would not get any response, but instead, your reply Helped me outta a pickle I thought I would never get out of. It took both hands and one leg to install it, but now Ive got it put back together and running.
Again,,,I deeply appretiate your help.
