Decent opportunity
Hey guys,
I am going to junk a decent 1996 dodge ram, unless someone wants to take it off my hands. THe engine is well taken care of. I flushed the steering system, cooling system, and tranny. The TC has leaky seals and is not in good shape at all.
I can't sell it in CA because the emissions equip on the truck is not legal in the state of CA and most other states.
I drove the truck from Oklahoma to Monterey CA in the end of june and it survived the trip with the TC leaking like a seive. (I was towing/hauling 2500 lbs).
If someone wants to take it off my hands for 500 dollars, its yours. Clean title. I just don't want to junk a truck that is in good shape. But I have to get rid of it before I move in Feb. YOu get all the fixins it has on it. The only thing you need to do to it is possibly get a new TC and tranny (hahah, only).
Here are the upgrades:
Edelbrock TES headers
Magnaflow sidepipe exhaust
Open element air cleaner
MSD 6AL ignition (Quick connected in case the box ever fails, you can go back to stock)
Hypertech coil
MOPAR PERFORMANCE PCM
NEW rancho 5000 shocks (2K miles ago installed professionally)
NEW rancho 5000 steering stabilizer (Same as shocks)
relatively new tie rod ends
Ford F1TE-D9A 24lb/hr injectors with new pigtails
FASTMAN 50MM TB
Gutted cat
Kenwood KDC MPV CB player that reads DVDs and CDRWs with MP3s burned onto them, but no IPOD port.
Mossy oak "brush" seat covers
3 in suspension lift with black American racing rims and BFG AT/TA 12/33/R15 tires (LOTS OF TREAD).
Body matched Leer camper top with no back window
some rust around door moulding
Cracked *** dashboard
It also has a Fitch fuel catalyst. It gets 12MPG city and 16 MPG highway. I don't know how but it does.
500 is a fair price considering you can buy it and part the truck for 4 times that. But if someone just wants to make a 4 wheel truck, this is the perfect opportunity. I bought a 2001 ram but its a 5.9 not a 5.2. So I can't use most of the parts. Even the exhaust won't match up. Otherwise, I would have taken out the parts i want and then swapped them.
I don't have the time to ebay the stuff either because I am going to school and studying for the GRE.
PM me if interested. And I can send pics. If there is no interest in the whole shebang, let me know what parts you are interested in. I can send anything that isn't too big like exhaust stuff. I can't do any suspension stuff, plus at 45 dollars per shock, they aren't worth coming all the way over here to take them off yourself for 15 dollars a piece.
But if you want the fastman, MSD, injectors, headers, PCM, stereo or anything else, I can manage to send that stuff. I can get 500 for that stuff easy, plus about 5 dollars for the rolling chassis from a junkyard.
