I like the NGK Iridium IX, thats what I use. But I haven't tried the V-power plugs, so I can't compare.

I don't think the Iridium plugs offer any advantage other than longevity.

I don't know if they are either, but my next set of plugs will be Champion Truck plugs, and I will compare. Thats probably going to be a while though, as the iridium plugs (like you said) last a long time.

However, I know my pickup does run much smoother with them than the stock Champions that were in there.

So there really isnt a diffrence in the two, what turned me onto the v power one is that its closer to the fuel/air mixture for a faster better burn, which would be better spark for more performance. And the iridium is better casue of the metal used i guess. I just hate changing plugs pain in the butt just want to get the best plug. V power plugs is like 4 buck cheaper a plug too soo i dunno .

I have the Iridium plugs in my wifes Ford Focus becuz it likes burning up plugs evry 500-1000 miles put those babies in and the plug issue went away. They made the car idle smoother and gained some mileage as well as a little more get up and go. The RX7 rotery guys swear by these plugs becuz you can dump so much fuel at them and they won't foal out like a standard plug and they will take running at 18,000+rpm all day with no damage.

I would imagine the big difference is solely longevity. Consider the V powers can be had for less than 2 dollars and the iridiums are $7-8 a piece and you'd have to change out plugs about 4 times to offset the cost.

Might be worth it to me with the MSD ignition though. I'm going to run a slightly colder v power plug than the stock heat I currently have in there and compare the engine performance before I invest that much in plugs.

I REALLY like the V powers I have now, BTW. Much better than the Autolite 3923's I ran. Probably a little better than the Champion Truck plugs, but that might just be in my head.

On a totally unimportant note as far as performance is concerned: the Champion Truck plugs look cooler than any other plug I've ever tried.
