Anybody know if its a direct bolt in? I've got an opportunity to get one out of a 99 for 120 bucks, at 8 in the morning, three hours before work. If anyone knows, please tell me!!! Thanks alot.

As far as I know, they are both 46RE for the automatic (if its the V8). If its a 1999 V6, then it would be a 42RE, which will probably not bolt up to the 5.2, and even if it did, most likely could not handle the extra power.

The ONLY thing you have to watch out for (as long as they are both 46re's) is the Governor pressure SENSOR. Both have to match, or you need to swap your old on onto the new trans. If you do not have the right sensor you will not get overdrive or lockup. The computers arent compatible with both sensors.
