I sold my '95 at 196k with original tranny and motor. only replace plugs, filters, and water pump. I wish i kept it to see it hit 200k, but my 2001 is at 120k now so i will have it to hold on to. Great trucks, they last if you let them

1989 Dodge D 300 Ram Kirk Drouin 360,000 5.9 Cummins 3 speed auto Transmission rebuilt 3 times by original owner (Salt mine) I had rebuilt by wizard @172,000 miles and beefed up just starting to "go" now. Considering NV4500 conversion. New front end axle to axle everything physically broke at one time or another. Dana 70HD on way out Brakes, brakes, brakes, rear spring broke electrical gremlins leaky roof, rotted floor (MINT by spring 2009) 2000 received to settle debt of $600, previously used as storage (Box Truck) never ran due to rotted fuel line and faulty trans cooler (dealer thought head shot), I parked it 2 years, registered and blew tranny 2.5 miles down road. Replaced all parts with heaviest available (except T/C stock) and drove it... hard. Carry 2-3 tons frequently. Ugly, beat and scary but starts each and everyday 17-19MPG city/22-28MPG Hwy <---Really. Body on way out but savable wiring is junk but kinda works, no back brakes ever, no grill, headlight held on with zip ties, straight pipe exhaust and every month at least one hillbilly will come up and say "Nice truck!" Change the oil and fill it up every other week and it is fine OH, heater isn't (Hot rod air?) 2008-10-14

1998 Dodge Ram 1500 Known, not shown 231,427 5.2L V8 Timing chain (had an inch of slack), rear main seal, valve cover gasket, water pump, radiator (due to wreck). It runs great, but is leaking a tiny amount of oil through the rings. 2008-10-06

1995 dodge ram James A. Cowan 200,110 360 MPFI 2wd, automatic transmission. None. No wrecks, no rust. Engine and Transmission are factory original with no rebuilds. I change my oil every 5-7000 miles. Only use Quaker state 10W-30 with Fram filters. My miles per gallon averages 16.99 if I drive 55. 2008-10-05

1987 Dodge Dakota Knox 307,853 3.9 v-6 a535 5 speed manual changed transmission in 06 for a used a535, thats it! was a daily driver for my father-in-law, a 100 mile round trip, he bought the truck in 89, and drove until 05 when he blew the transmission, I ended up with it in 06, put a used tranny, from ebay, in and off i went, I watched this truck roll over 300,000 miles, unreal! 2008-10-05

1999 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 SLT Steve Bishop 302,000 5.9 with auto transmission Tranny at 278k, Rearend at 282k Love my truck! It still drives like it has 80k miles. 2008-10-05

1994 Dodge Dodge Ram 1500 Kevin Olsen 244,444 5.9 Auto with O/D 4WD Water Pump, Fuels Pumps, Tires, Driver Door, Bumpers. 2008-09-26

Mine has 187k on it and I just broke down to put a new motor in it. It was still running but just had no power at all. I could drive it in town ok probably for the next 13k miles but wouldn't be able to get into the mountains with it for sure. I needed to get it done before the snow hits. Oh well. It's just money right?

Aubrey,
Are you putting in a 5.2 or 5.9? Or maybe a 408?

This thread makes me feel a little better. I was kinda sorta depressed my truck is about to turn 90,000 but after reading all this I know it wont matter as long as I keep it well maintained....
