Exclamation Any idea how?

just came across this image/video

apparently the truck is a Dodge Ram 1500 Quad Cab Pickup year 1998 (just like mine) and i know i have a 1.5 din but how the hell did they install this 7'' touch screen in there?

it almost appears as if there was no modifications at all someone let me know or point me in a right direction as to how i can fit a touch screen headunit in there because i have 1 and i would really like to have it in my truck thanks

looking at the picture, it seems hand cut. Pretty hairy business with old plastic. It seems it can be done though. Heck, enough money and you can do just about anything these days.

So what exactly do you think was cut, the Dash or whats behind the dash?

i already have another dash that i pulled off of a dodge in a junk yard

so ill practice on that first, only asked because it didnt appear cut.

how'd you install it?

only pressing this issue so bad because I got this headunit as a present and i havent been able to sell this thing for the last 6-8 months so i figured might as well throw it in the truck.. one friend suggested making a custom center console thing on my floor and mount it in there but i don't think it would look as good as cutting the dash

well the one i had stuck out and looked stupid, so i took it out. it was my friends and we installed it to see how it would look and function for me. my parents didn't like it much either.

the one i got was also a 1 din and so we got the spacer and the faceplate with the screen stuck out a bunch and was hard to get back on and off because of the surround on the dash.

If you know how to work with fiberglass, you can pull it off and make it look stock.
