Hey, my dad has a 96 dodge 1500 when it is in drive it goes to about 500rpm and the oil light flickers he has replaced some senors but i do not know exactley what ones. a lil help thanks

 

I have the same year truck with a 5.2 in her, I have the same problem, not so much with the idle going down, but when in gear and warmed up the pressure would drop and light would flicker. This didn't work for me but may for you worth a shot at 10-15 bucks, an oil pressure sending unit/switch. If you are looking at the engine from the front of the truck it is on the left side behind the intake manifold, kinda a pain to get the wrench in there for me. good luck!
