this is stumpin me, every once in a while, my alternator quits working....every once in a while my "check guages" light comes on and my guage shows 8 so it really doesn't make sense, but that only happens every once in a while....any ideas?

 

sounds like u got a short somewhere in the system, trace the wires from the alternator around and see if theres a spot where the coating got rubbed off... maybe driving in alota water could do it too... nice pic lol
