Default Number of teeth on Speed sensor

Hi guys, need some help.

My truck is a 96 4x4 automatic, It has a speed sensor on the t-case which has a gear on it. Depending on the number of teeth and the rotation of the tires, it gives out a reading on the speedometer.

My problem is that due to the number of teeth on the gear and the big tires (315/75/r16), the speedometer on the truck is not accurate.

Would someone know what number of teeth the gear should have in order to have a more accurate speed reading?
