If it is behind the 4.7 or the 5.7 then no.

Doesn't the 02 still use the 360 even though it's a new body style? Not sure if it's the same transmission or not. I know the 2500's and 3500's are even still the 2nd gen style in 02.

score the reason i asked was because the 94-01 trannys like to die every 50,000 miles i hear, and the trannys after 01 dont have that problem.

My guess is that they didn't change the tranny either.

The transmissions behind the 4.7 and the 5.7 WILL NOT WORK WITH THE 2ND GEN RAM.

That transmission is the 45RFE AND 545RFE, THESE TWO TRANSMISSIONS WILL NOT WORK IN PLACE OF A 46RE, 47RE, OR A 48RE, THEY ARE COMPLETELY DIFFERENT.

ONLY the transmissions behind the 318, and 360 will work with the 2nd gen ram.
