Default P0713 Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input

This past weekend I happened to cycle the ignition switch while taking a rest stop and the CEL started blinking. I later connected my diagnostic unit, which reported P0713 - Transmission Fluid Temperature Sensor Circuit High Input. I don't know if this is due to earlier this year, when I blew a softline in the transmission fluid circuit and I never cleared the code, or if it's something else. According to what I've been finding on the InterWeb Thingy, the temperature senders for transmissions rarely go bad. Any ideas? I do know that I need to get my transmission rebuilt soon, it's saving up the coinage to get it done that's taking time.

Sorry. I read the thread but forgot to reply. I would just clear the codes and see if it comes back. If it doesnt i wouldnt worry about it.

If the code keeps coming back, change your governor pressure sensor. The temp resistor is a part of the sensor.

Thanks. I did reset the code and I will give it a couple of days. Damn, I really need to get my Super Beetle running so I can get the trans rebuilt in the truck.
