Looking at a 97 Ram - Good trucks???

My 97 ram has been pretty good to me.
I did have the trans rebuilt at about 30k but it wasn't because of a serious failure.
(I was working at the dealer and still had warranty. Nothin beats being paid to work on your own truck!)
One thing I really like about my 97 is that it was the last year before they did the mini revision to these trucks. (not that I don't like the 98-01 trucks)
My take is they got most of the bugs worked out of the original 94+ design by 97.
The 4 wheel ABS brakes suck on my truck though!

Generally I won't buy the first year of a new design because there are usually a lot of nit picky problems they get sorted out over the next few years.
